Join fellow alums at the upcoming 2018 Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum in San Francisco

We are excited to have you join the 2018 San Francisco Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) on Friday, September 7 at UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center, San Francisco.

The DEF is open to the entire Dartmouth community. Alumni/ae are coming from across the business spectrum and around the world to hear from Dartmouth leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and faculty.

You will hear acclaimed Dartmouth professor Hany Farid, Chair of the Computer Science Department, talk about the future of social media, in a fireside chat along with Eileen Donahoe ’81, Executive Director of Stanford’s Global Digital Policy IncubatorJeff Immelt ’78, former CEO of GE, will have a fireside chat with Bill Helman ’80, former chair of the Dartmouth Board of Trustees and partner at Greylock.

The Dartmouth family had a big IPO in 2018 with Seattle software company Smartsheet, and we have Smartsheet CEO Mark Mader ’92 along with investor Matt McIlwain ‘87 of Madrona Ventures on stage to tell their story – From Zero to IPO!

This year’s Forum will have fascinating panels with Dartmouth alums blazing new trails in the world of entrepreneurship:

  • The Secrets of Angel Investing
  • How to Launch a Killer E-Commerce Brand
  • What is Blockchain and Why It Will Change Your World
  • It’s Gonna Be Delicious!  The Future of Food
  • Digital Healthcare for the Masses
  • Scooters, E-Bikes and the Urban Transportation Wars
  • There is Life Beyond Keystone: The Rise of Craft Beers and Spirits

And back by popular demand, we are returning with version 2.0 of last year’s smash hit panel When to Jump

The DEF welcomes everyone from Dartmouth – alums, students and faculty from the College, Tuck, Thayer, Geisel and the recently christened Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies.  As with every Forum, networking opportunities will abound, including over breakfast, lunch and a happy hour at the end of the day.  Tickets are only $50 -- with all the free food and drink, this is your best deal of the year! (If you are a young alum, please email us to get a discount for your ticket.  Btw, we mean young, not simply young at heart.)

Please get your tickets now.  As big as the space at UCSF is, we will sell out this year.  Don’t be left behind.

Also…..the Office Hours Workshop will be held in SF on Thursday afternoon, September 6 from 2:30pm - 5pm, followed by a Happy Hour from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.  This unique event is for pre-launch and seed stage start-ups in the Dartmouth network.  Entrepreneurs will be connected one-on-one with seasoned entrepreneurs, tech execs, developers, designers, lawyers and investors from the Dartmouth community.  Last year we had over 40 Dartmouth start-ups get connected with Dartmouth mentors  -- don’t miss your chance to get valuable advice that could be critical to your start-up’s success.

If you are interested in Office Hours, please email us (dartmouthentrepreneursforum@gmail.com) with your name, class year, company name and a brief summary of your company or idea.  Co-founders are invited to come to Office Hours as well.  Office Hours are free of charge, and all Dartmouth founders who participate in Thursday’s Office Hours will receive free admission to the Forum on Friday.
